Wine Country Lake House

This project began with the most inspiring of premises: a breathtaking parcel of land on a private lake and a client open to an element of fantasy. The result is a twenty-first century take on a Victorian-era inn, a home built for gracious entertaining that offers an escape the moment one enters the double-height “reception” foyer from the two-story wrap-around porch. The compound also includes a boat house and a working barn with soaring Douglas Fir beams and a terracotta roof.
